Meet the People
What is it like to work at Ferrosan? What sort of career opportunities does an international health care business offer? What characterises Ferrosan's management and employees? Would Ferrosan be the right workplace for you?
Here are a number of statements from Ferrosan employees:
Business from scratch
Maristela Fieschi
Brazil
In 2001, I became Ferrosan's first employee in Brazil. As Country Manager, it has been an exciting challenge for me to build the business and the organisation from the ground to the present level. Introducing Imedeen® in a country with a huge market potential has been a fantastic experience. We have seen constant growth, leaving us with the challenge of running the business and ensuring that Ferrosan will reach its goals.
It gives me great pleasure to work with a top-quality brand that is appreciated by a constantly growing number of customers.
Ferrosan patriots
Ruslan Kamalov
Russia
After working with Ferrosan since 1997, it is my experience that the company offers a very special atmosphere which motivates people and makes them "Ferrosan patriots", as well as competent professionals.
In my capacity as a medical doctor, I joined Ferrosan as Sales Manager, became National Sales Manager, and now hold the position of Country Manager of Ferrosan Russia. My own career and similar track records for some of my colleagues demonstrate that Ferrosan is a frontrunner when it comes to offering people the chance to realise their opportunities.
In Russia our challenge is clear: We must be the market leader in our field of operation.
Ferrosan has changed
Terje Midjord
Denmark
I joined Ferrosan in 1990 in connection with a company acquisition. My first impression was that of a rigid and inflexible company with cumbersome business procedures. But things have changed. As Production Manager, I found that I was able to challenge the systems and help to make the changes that also had a positive impact on my own job. Ferrosan offers good opportunities in this respect.
Today, I hold the position as Production Manager for Imedeen®. In my experience, if you seek the challenges and opportunities yourself, there is a good chance that you'll succeed.
Retain leadership
Alexander Marakhovsky
Ukraine
As Country Manager, it is my responsibility to develop Ferrosan's business in the Ukraine and Moldova and take part in other corporate projects. Furthermore, it is important to influence the launch of new products and contribute to Ferrosan's product development strategy. I prefer to define and pursue ambitious goals and pay continuous attention to developing and retaining competent employees.
It is my ambition to retain and enhance Ferrosan's market-leading position in the Ukrainian pharmaceutical market and to be the preferred vendor in selected markets.
Spot the opportunities
Lars Staun-Pallesen
Denmark
Having previously worked as an Accountant and Controller, I joined Ferrosan in 1996. No two days are the same here, and I enjoy that. My greatest challenge was to compile usable sales statistics. Later, I was given responsibility for drawing up budgets, and today I am in charge of the internal management reporting.
There are great career opportunities here - but you must be able to spot the opportunities of new challenges instead of the limitations. I also take pleasure in knowing that we supply useful products that improve the quality of life.
